Although Graduation is supposed to be a time of celebration and remembrance, graduates are faced with the struggles of figuring out their next career step.

Being a Pre- Med student Ivey finds herself in one of the most stressful degrees for undergrad students to pursue, that being the medical field. Elvin-Ivey finds herself caught in between this place of stress for the unknown of her future. “ I’ve reached my limit a long time ago, but I just keep going, so I’m really just worried about burning out“
Graduate school is another option for undergraduates to not only expand upon their knowledge, but also set themselves up to make more monetary gains. Some students feel the pressure of getting a job out of college and concede to that pressure , but others would prefer this extra time in Graduate school to perfect their craft.
“ I struggle with making life choices for myself, but that’s what life is about right?” Life decisions like career choices aren’t easy to make, and when you add the stresses of bills, financial independence, and the pressures of the outside world, individuals can find themselves in a lost place.
After she walks the stage in May, Elvin-Ivey plans on continuing her educational journey, somewhere to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. Regardless of where she decides to go her future is certainly bright.
